STUDY C: Colour Matching and Verbal Task Performance
Description:
Participants will complete a series of questionnaires and perform two tasks.
Restrictions:
1. Participants are required to bring a friend along for the study.
2. Participants and their friends are required to be Singaporean Chinese and between the ages of 18-25.
3. Participants and their friends are required to be of same gender, and known each other for at least 6 months.
Duration:
45 minutes
Compensation:
1 movie voucher each, for participant and friend. Applicable to those who fulfill the minuimum 45 minutes of the study.

STUDY B: THE PERFORMANCE TEST
Description:
Participants will complete questionnaires concerning their individual attributes and perform a specific computer task.
To take part:
1) Participants will need to bring along 1 of their ANY close same-gender friend whom they have known for at least 6 months, and have shared personal concerns with.
2) Participants and their friends must be Singaporean Chinese, between the ages of 18-26.
Duration:
An estimated of 45 minutes in total, for each pair of participant and their friend.
Compensation:
1 Shaw Movie Voucher each, if you and your friend choose to participate in Study A also. If you and your friend choose to participate in all 3 studies, you and your friend will each receive 1 pair of Shaw Movie Vouchers.

Study A - Visual Discrimination Study
Some Information
Description
Participants will complete an angle-matching task (making discriminations between degrees and lengths of angles when differences are very small) and questionnaires concerning their personality characteristics.
Restrictions
Participants aged 18 and above
Compensation
Participants who are not eligible for course credit (for JCUS classes) will be entered into a lucky draw for a $50 Capital Land Mall voucher. Participants who also take part in Study B will receive a Shaw movie voucher.

You are invited to take part in a research project about the conditions under which visual perceptual confusion occurs and the project also investigates individual differences. The study is being conducted by Au Hoi Ting and will contribute to the Honours Project in Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at James Cook University.
Participants will complete an angle-matching task by making discriminations between degrees and lengths of angles when the differences are very small. Two questionnaires will also be administered to collect some information regarding individual differences. This involves indicating the intensity of your agreement with the applicability of several statements. The entire process is estimated to take 40 minutes. This research will be conducted at a research laboratory at James Cook University, Singapore Campus.
Taking part in this study is completely voluntary and you can stop taking part in the study at any time without explanation or prejudice. You may also withdraw any unprocessed data from the study.
There are no physical risks associated with completing the experimental task and questionnaires, but some people may find the study a little distressing. If you do feel upset or distressed in any way, please advise the researcher and you will be referred to someone who can help you.
Your responses and contact details will be strictly confidential. The data from the study will be used in a thesis submission to James Cook University. You will not be identified in any way in this research report.
